The labor market in the Yukon, which has a population of just over 32,000, has a critical shortage of foreign workers with specialized skills. Critical Impact Worker Stream: Applicants must have a job offer from a Yukon employer in a semi-skilled or unskilled occupation. They must have worked in the occupation for at least six months and meet language proficiency requirements in English or French.

Business Nominee Stream: Applicants must have a net worth of at least $500,000 and be willing to invest at least $300,000 in a Yukon business. They must also have at least three years of business management or entrepreneurial experience.

The Yukon Express Entry: This program is a pathway for skilled foreign workers to apply for permanent residence in Yukon, Canada. It aligns with the federal Express Entry system and allows the territory to nominate candidates based on their skills, education, & work experience for faster immigration.

The Yukon Community Pilot Program: This pilot program is a Canadian immigration program designed to help rural communities in Yukon attract and retain skilled foreign workers.
