International Co-op: This category is for individuals who want to complete a work placement or internship in Canada as part of their post-secondary education.
The IEC Program is available in all provinces and territories in Canada. Certain provinces and territories may have more job opportunities or be more popular destinations for IECP participants.
An “Invitation to Apply” must be extended to all qualified applicants before they can submit a full application. There will be a 10-day window in which you may decide whether to accept the invitation and start the application process or to decline it. You will receive a registration code after completing the survey.
The validity of your work permit will depend on the sub-category. Working Holiday participants may be eligible for a work permit for up to 24 months, while Young Professionals and International Co-op participants may be eligible for a work permit for up to 18 months.
